I proudly present the Dutch Grand Rounds. This round will cover two english written articles. The first contribution features on Laika’s MedLibLog. She discusses the Anatomy Lesson she visited. This is a yearly held symposium organized in Amsterdam’s concert hall. She summarized Shalev’s presentation about fear.

Dr Shock writes about health search on the internet. More than 50% of the European population searches the internet for health related information. Dutch people were not investigated during this research, but people from Denmark, Germany, Greece, Latvia, Norway, Poland, and Portugal were.

Binnenkort gaan we van start met de grote visite. U kunt nu alvast artikelen opgeven voor de ronde. De deadline is 24 augustus. De eerste ronde zal zeer waarschijnlijk op 26 augustus gepubliceerd worden. We houden u op de hoogte.

Er bestaat nog niet zoiets als een grote visite van medblogs in Nederland. Een twee wekelijkse uitgave van een grote visite van medblogs heeft een aantal voordelen. Lezers kunnen in 1 keer de belangrijkste blogartikelen op medisch gebied overzien en een keuze maken uit het aanbod. Ze blijven op de hoogte van de belangrijkste ontwikkelingen. De host, dus degene die het overzicht maakt krijgt veel bezoekers. De andere deelnemers kunnen naar dit overzicht linken. Het merendeel van u weet wel hoe dit werkt.

Tot nu toe schreven een aantal bloggers dit overzicht en kozen de artikelen naar eigen inzicht, zoals bijvoorbeeld het rondje langs de medblogs. Het idee is om weer leven te blazen in de grote visite met een site voor de aankondiging: http://grotevisite.nl.

Om het overzicht zo efficiënt mogelijk samen te stellen hebben we bedacht dat het veel sneller gaat als de medbloggers voor een deadline een recent artikel aanmelden. Deze artikelen komen dan automatisch terecht bij degene die het overzicht zal maken. We zullen een rooster maken van diegenen die hier aan mee willen werken.
